Summary
Strengths
Big with long arms and massive wingspan
Uses his length to strike first and disrupt the pass rusher
Snatch and trap usage is impressive (check Florida tape)
Was really strong in pass pro the final 6 games of the season for Georgia, showing growth in his first year as a full time starter
Burst and movement skills put him in the right position as a zone run game blocker
Weaknesses
2025 was his only full year as a college starter (did start four games in 2024)
Defaults to leaning and lunging in pass pro when there is more grass to defend, sets him off balance
Initial ability to take on power is fine but anchor gets exposed when the stalemate starts...needs to get stronger in his lower half and utilize it
Strength, control and technique in the run game is all a work in progress...leverage and hand placement was lacking in tight quarters
Final Report
Freeling is a one year starter at tackle that played his best football in the final six games of the season. He has a near prototype build at tackle, but he is still very raw in both pass protection and as a run blocker. A team taking him in the first round will be betting on a Kolton Miller type trajectory.
