Summary

Strengths

Prototype build for the position with a big arm

Full field reader

Kept the ball out of harm's way for most of the 2023 and 2024 seasons

2024 matchup vs. USC showed the kind of heart and gamer mentality he has

Weaknesses

Motion is way too elongated at times

Serious ankle fracture ended his 2025 season

Gets caught aiming rather than looking like a natural thrower too often, loses control of the ball

10 fumbles from 2023-2024 and lost 8 of them

Doesn't match pre snap pressure looks with his post snap decisions

Has not played well against top opponents

Final Report

Allar’s play started to find an upward trajectory in 2024, but he plateau’d in 2025 before suffering a season ending injury. He’s big with a power arm, essentially possessing the physical tools teams look for at the position. Yet, he’s not an impressive thrower when it comes to timing, control and consistency. His play suffered against the better teams on Penn State’s schedule, which was glaring in 2024. His raw talent will always be enticing for developmental reasons, but he wasn’t able to tap into that enough across his multiple years as a college starter.
